On July 4th, 1776, the Second Continental Congress convened in the city of Philadelphia to ratify a document that, unbeknownst to them, would set their thirteen colonies on a trajectory they could only dream of - the Declaration of Independence. In the 250 years since then, the United States has become home to some of the greatest inventions in history. The lightbulb, the airplane, the phonograph, the telephone, the list goes on and on, all made in the USA.
